NPC character design commissions for a DnD campaign. They just requested flat colored, front facing designs. It was pretty much artistic freedom as long as I stuck to DnD species. Did a couple of short write-ups on the characters, too, as requested by the commissioner.
This time I was restricted to centaur and dragon-born species. When the roles were initially laid out, I imagined these two roles as dwarves. Since centaurs are half man, I worked some dwarf characteristics into his design. I also made the bottom half an ox, since they're occasionally used to move heavier loads, and I thought that would fit with the work of moving and shaping metals.
